Effective Communication Skills

When you learn effective communication skills, you may transform your relationships, enhance your work performance and develop a strong sense of confidence and self-esteem. You may find it tremendously easier to navigate through the world. Good communication involves:

*listening

*demonstrating that you heard what the person said

*non-judgmental language

*non-blaming language

*using complete sentences

*appropriate body language

Advanced communication involves the ability to read body language, match your listener's cues, pace the conversation and use grammatically correct statements.

Are You Ready to Reach aTurning Point?

Many of us were never taught to communicate effectively. It’s very common for the person we are trying to reach hears something completely different from what we intended to say.

Sometimes we carry an unnecessary lack of confidence in basic skills.

Without intending to, we may use blaming or shaming language. We don't realize how our approach alienates the person we're trying to reach.

Learning to improve your communication can be a simple process. Once you develop a solid skill set, you’ll find improvement in your ability to have and maintain healthy relationships, enhance your performance at work and increase your self-esteem.
