Overcome Your Addiction

You CAN overcome your addiction!

“When decided to go to you for counseling, my whole life was about drug addiction - and I knew I wanted to quit but I honestly didn‘t think I could do it. So, when you talk about the turning point, it was totally true for me and I remember exactly the moment that I thought to myself - Yes, I have the strength to live without drugs. I needed your help to find that place and I once got there, I haven‘t turned back."- MC 2007

They can become the center of our lives. When things break down, when we feel out of control, start losing relationships, friendships, jobs, financial stability, family, self-esteem …start lying, stealing, cheating, risking harm to ourselves and others... start getting physically ill…It‘s time to get some help.

You can overcome your addiction and maintain long-term recovery with highly successful cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). CBT teaches you how to identify and alter destructive thought patterns and behaviors. It helps you discover and identify different ways of behaving, coping and re-framing formerly overwhelming issues. It is important to understand that the lifestyles and habits attached to addiction require major changes in your thought processes as well as behavior. With Turning Point Psychotherapy you will receive individual sessions by myself, a licensed Masters level therapist, not a counselor.

There are also additional forms of treatment that help you overcome your addiction and maintain recovery over time. Meditation, self-hypnosis, creative expression and effective communication techniques are powerful and effective tools. You can click here for a FREE 5 Week Meditation E-Course. Nutrition and physical fitness programs are at the core of long-term physical rehabilitation and are recommended and referred to by Turning Point Psychotherapy. In many cases, family systems work may also be appropriate. Together we will collaborate on the best plan for your individual treatment goals.

When you come into my office, you can expect to get what you paid for: a well trained, professional, caring and effective approach to your mental health.
